Clinical Supervision
Supervision is an essential aspect to continuing professional development and plays a key part in ensuring good practice and high-quality care. Professionals at all levels of their career will benefit from supervision, as it provides an important opportunity to reflect on your professional practice, including what went well, or not so well, and where improvements could be made.

Although I am a registered member of the BACP, my qualification is a Clinical Diploma in Supervision (level 6) which allows me to to work with anyone requiring supervision across all counselling disciplines. I have over 2000 hours of client work from my private practice and I offer integrative supervision for £45 per session.

I currently supervise a number of experienced and newly trained supervisees and I am a volunteer at Willen Hospice to members of their wellbeing staff.

The Ethical Framework defines supervision as:
"A specialised form of mentoring provided for practitioners responsible for undertaking challenging work with people. Supervision is provided to ensure standards, enhance quality, advance learning, stimulate creativity, and support the sustainability and resilience of the work being undertaken."
Supervision offers you a reflective space in which to develop practice and so benefits client safety. All aspects of your practice should be open to supervision.

When making your decision to decide how much supervision you require, consider:
-
the amount of counselling and psychotherapy work you undertake and the contexts or settings
-
the complexity of your work
-
your experience and training
-
your development needs and aims
-
any specific issues and difficulties
The combination of my supervision training, my experience in private practice and 30 years of business coaching experience means that I can offer a vast array of guidance and support.
Please get in touch if you would like an initial conversation.
